Eight Planets, Other Things

Chorus 1
Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars:
Small rocky planets near our star.
Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune:
Big gas balls out in space so far.

The dwarf planet Pluto, with only ice on it.
Moons and meteors, ast’roids ‘n’ comets.
Eight big planets, orbit the sun.
We’re gonna see them all and have some fun.

Verse
We live on a beautiful planet,
And call it mother Earth.
It circles round a fiery star,
The sun, that gave it birth.

And with it, other planets,
Asteroids and Moons,
Orbit 'round the flaming sun,
And through the solar system run.

(repeat chorus 1)

Chorus 2
Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars:
Iron and rock and a few other things.
Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune:
Nothing but gas, but Saturn has rings.

The dwarf planet, Pluto, with only ice on it;
Moons and meteors, ast’roids ‘n’ comets.
These are the things making up the solar system.
Ride along with us so you won’t have missed ‘em.
